Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data the Montori desktop application ("Montori," "the app") and the Montori website collect, store, and share. Montori is a local-first inventory tracker for online resellers, built and operated by an independent developer (the "Operator").

1. The short version

2. What data lives on YOUR computer (not seen by the Operator)

The Montori app stores all of the following locally on your machine. None of it is sent to the Operator or any third party by Montori:

To delete this data, uninstall Montori AND delete the data folder (default %APPDATA%\Montori\ and Documents\Montori-Photos\). The Operator has no copy and cannot access yours.

3. What the Operator's license server receives

When you activate your license OR the app re-validates (~every 30 days), the following is sent to a Cloudflare Worker controlled by the Operator:

Sent to license serverStored in our databaseWhy
Your license key✅ YesTo verify you bought the app
An anonymous machine ID (random UUID, generated on first run, stored in your localStorage)✅ YesTo enforce the 2-PC activation limit
Your IP address❌ Stored only in Cloudflare's temporary edge logs (per Cloudflare's policy, ~24 hours)Required by any internet request; not used by the Operator for anything
Your name, email, address, or other personal identifiers❌ NoWe don't ask for any of this

The license server does NOT receive: your items, photos, settings, sale records, deductions, file paths, IP address (beyond Cloudflare's edge), or any inventory data.

4. What Gumroad sees when you buy

Gumroad handles your purchase entirely. The Operator does not see your credit-card details — Gumroad does. The Operator's view of your purchase, visible inside Gumroad's seller dashboard, is:

Gumroad's full privacy policy: https://gumroad.com/privacy

If you want your data removed from Gumroad's records, contact Gumroad directly — the Operator can't delete it on their side.

5. What the Operator does (and doesn't do) with your purchase email

If you want to opt out of future update emails, reply to any email from the Operator with "unsubscribe" and they will remove you from the list.

6. Children's privacy

Montori is not directed to anyone under 13. The Operator does not knowingly collect any data from anyone under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at montoriapp.com/privacy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document will be revised.
